'Nobody' to compete at Cortex Int'l Filmfest

The Cortex International Film Festival is slated to screen Iranian animation 'Nobody'.

The Córtex International Film Festival is slated to screen Iranian animation 'Nobody'.

Directed by Elham Toroghi, the animation will compete at the eighth edition of the Portuguese event.

The 9-minute animation tells the story of a white cat living in a city of black residents. The cat tries hard to get food but no one seems bothered to give any.

The animation has so far succeeded to win the Special Jury Award from the 11th edition of the ANIMANIMA International Animation Festival in Serbia in 2017.

Córtex International Short Film Festival is the only festival in the greater Lisbon area dedicated exclusively to short film format in its various competitions.

Since 2010, the festival shares its vision of the best that is made in this genre, nationally and internationally.

Córtex has the particularity of not requiring premieres, allowing directors and producers the option to submit their film in more than one festival in the country of origin.

The festival is to be launched on April 11-15, 2018, in Portugal.
